Firstly it depends on what phone you had before as the iPhone 7 and S8 are on opposite ends of the spectrum. The iPhone is simple and easy to use, it always has been. The S8 is highly customizable, and complicated. Therefore, either option will be very different depending on what you are used to.
For a straight phone vs phone comparison, the S8 is definitely way better, with higher secs, more advanced features, and a headphone jack! It even looks stylish with a full front screen display:

If you are willing to wait though, the S8 is the first major release this year. We are still anticipating the arrival of the Pixel 2 and Iphone 7s/8, which are both rumoured to be amazing phones.
